New Jersey’s Plays in the Park will be putting on 3 shows this summer.
The summer show lineup includes productions of Beauty and the Beast, In The Heights and A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum.
Plays-in-the-Park features three grand-scale musicals every summer in an open-air amphitheater, complemented by a delightful children’s production indoors every October.
Auditions will be held at the Plays-in-the-Park Theater in Roosevelt Park, Edison, New Jersey.
Audition Details for the 2024 Season:
Beauty and the Beast:
June 19-29, Directed by Moggie Davis
In The Heights:
July 10-20, Directed by Edgar Hidalgo
A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum:
July 31 – August 10, Directed by Susan Spiedel

Plays-in-the-Park prides itself on being a community theater, and all performers are volunteers. One of the great aspects of community theater, as with Plays-in-the-Park, is that everyone is encouraged to audition, regardless of background, age, type, or ability.
Please come prepared to sing approximately 16 bars of music. An accompanist will be provided.
Bring your own sheet music in the proper key, marked with any cuts.
Please bring rehearsal conflicts for May – August and a photo/resume, if you have.
VIDEO SUBMISSIONS are welcome and are due by March 8th. Please send vocal and dance clip, calling out
in which shows and roles you are interested and conflicts between May and August, to:
