Open Auditions for NFL Cheerleaders – Washington Commanders

The Washington Commanders entertainment team announced  auditions for the upcoming 2024 NFL season.

Command Force is seeking talented dancers, gymnasts, and Beat Ya Feet entertainers to join their dance / Cheer squad called Command Force.  The NFL Washington Commanders will be holding cheerleader auditions this month for the Commanders dance / cheer squad called Command Force.

Auditions will take place from Saturday, April 13, through April 16 at Commanders Field, in the Washington, DC area.

The Washington Commanders entertainment team known as the “Command Force“, is one of the league’s most diverse squads, composed of dancers, gymnasts and Beat Ya Feet performers. Our team of 40+ individuals aim to bring to life the rich culture of D.C.’s iconic dance scene through high-energy, industry hip hop-based choreography while also showcasing traditional pom style routines often seen in the NFL.

Command Force members perform at all Washington Commanders home games! They also attend appearances in the community as ambassadors of the brand and act as role models. Washington dancers have traveled worldwide as representatives at various events and military appreciation tours over the years.

During the 2023 football season alone, members of our squad had the opportunity to travel to Poland, Japan, Korea, Cuba, Curaçao, Greenland, Bahamas and Honduras to represent the Commanders. Being a member of the team provides the opportunity to perform at the professional level on the biggest stage and engage with the greatest fans in the NFL!

This year, auditions will feature three Guest Celebrity Choreographers: DeShawn “da prince” Hawthorne, Celine “Boom” Edmondson, and John Pearson III, also known as Crazylegz. Hawthorne, a world-traveling dance instructor, has shared the stage with icons like Missy Elliott and Christina Aguilera. Edmondson, currently serving as Assistant Coach of the Brooklynettes Dance Team, brings seven seasons of dance and choreography experience. Meanwhile, Crazylegz, a proud DMV native, has been promoting go-go culture worldwide for over a decade.

Auditions will consist of an “Open Call” preliminary, semi-final, and final rounds. Finalists will undergo an interview rehearsal, a media shoot, and a final performance. Please note that auditions are conducted through an elimination process at each stage.

To participate, all candidates must register in advance by April 12, 2024, at 5 p.m. Walk-ups will not be accepted, and auditions are closed to the public.
