The highly anticipated sequel to the beloved golf comedy that made Adam Sandler a household name is finally in production—Happy Gilmore 2 is happening!

Decades after the original Happy Gilmore hit theaters and became a cult classic, Sandler is reprising his iconic role, bringing fans a long-awaited follow-up to the 1996 hit.

This new chapter sees Happy returning to the green after a far too long hiatus, and the excitement is already building. The sequel is currently filming in the New York and New Jersey areas, with production moving full steam ahead.

Extras casting directors have opened opportunities for local talent in New Jersey to be a part of the movie. GWCI of New York City has issues quite a few casting calls for locals that would like to make a bit of extra cash while appearing as a paid background actor in Happy Gilmore 2.

While details about the plot remain under wraps, the return of Sandler’s unforgettable character promises to deliver the same humor and heart that made the first film a favorite among comedy fans and golf enthusiasts alike.
