Superman movie to film in Ohio.
If you have always wanted to land a small role in a comic book superhero movie, here is a chance…well, that is if you live in Ohio.
Superman: Legacy is currently in production in Georgia and production in the Ohio area will take place this summer. The movie will be needing Cleveland locals to work as paid movie extras on set of Superman: Legacy beginning in May and going into the summer months. Residents that wouldn’t mind making some extra cash and who live in the area can sign up to be considered for the small roles that will need to be cast for the movie.

We will begin posting casting calls around the end of April – early May. We encourage you all to follow us on all socials (links below). With these resources, you can be informed ASAP of any background that we are looking to cast as well as instructions on how to submit for the project.

James Gunn’s revitalization of the DC Universe, begins with “Superman: Legacy.” The movie is filming under the working title of “Genesis.” Besides looking for paid background actors in the Cleveland area, the movie is also hiring crew in Ohio. The Cleveland film office posted the crew call and those that are interested in applying for the jobs can check out the Cleveland Film site.
The film’s description is a bit vague and states that Superman: Legacy follows the titular superhero as he reconciles his heritage with his human upbringing. He is the embodiment of truth, justice and a brighter tomorrow in a world that views kindness as old-fashioned.
Angela Boehm Casting will be casting Stand-Ins and Extras for the Feature Film ‘GENESIS’ in Cleveland
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY. We are receiving many questions about ‘Genesis’ coming to Cleveland and Cincinnati. ALL of the information below is incredibly important, so please take your time reading. Read through a few times before you fill out the form to submit for work on this project.
Project: ‘Genesis’ – A Warner Brothers Feature Film
Cleveland Shoot Dates: June 17th- July 16th
Cincinnati Shoot Dates: July 17th -July 18th
Background Rate: $12/hour with a guarantee of 8 hours ($96/8). Filming days are often 12-14 hours long, but you will still be compensated if you are let out before 8 hours.
Overtime pay begins after 8 hours.
Stand-In Rate: $13/hour with a guarantee of 8 hours ($104/8). We will be looking for stand ins for several cast. If you are interested in stand in work, please see the link below- (Note: must have extreme flexibility for these parts)
Our stand ins will be working with our director and main cast. You must be professional and be willing to interview with production for this position if needed.
Overtime pay begins after 8 hours.
Kids: We do have several background roles for kids. If your child is interested, please fill out a separate form for them.
