If you live in the New York city area here is a chance to get into a Netflix show in a small, non speaking, paid role as a background actor on set. “Zero Day” is now in production in New York and extras casting directors at GWCI of New York are holding a cast call to fill a bunch of background roles.
“Zero Day” is an Netflix, upcoming political thriller series set to debut in some months, directed by Lesli Linka Glatter and featuring an ensemble cast led by Robert De Niro and Lizzy Caplan. Produced by Eric Newman (Narcos, The Watcher) and Noah Oppenheim.
“Zero Day” show delves into the heart of a chilling global cyberattack, unraveling a web of political conspiracy and intrigue. Robert De Niro stars as George Mullen, alongside Lizzy Caplan as Alexandra Mullen, Jesse Plemons as Roger Carlson, and Joan Allen as Sheila Mullen. “Zero Day” has De Niro play George Mullen, a former president who comes out of retirement following a massive cyberattack. The six-episode thriller has begun filming in New York. The series boasts a stellar supporting cast, including Connie Britton, Bill Camp, Dan Stevens, and Angela Bassett.
Casting Notice:
Gwci seeking people to portray NYC passersby (adults, all ages, genders, ethnicities) for the Netflix series ZERO DAY. This is an exterior day shoot, early Fall season. Possibly shooting rain or shine.
Filming in lower Manhattan with a VERY EARLY CALL TIME (tentatively 4am).
Tentatively Scheduled shoot date: Sunday, 4/28/24
Looking for people who have not already worked on the series.
Pay rate: $176/10hrs ($16/hr)
This background role is NOT covered by SAG-AFTRA CBA.
