FilmToledo, the region’s official film commission, has announced an open casting call coming up in Toledo, Ohio for a 20th Century Studios movie.
Partnering with 20th Century Studios, FilmToledo has announced an open call for non-speaking roles and stand-ins for an upcoming project set to film at the Hollywood Casino. Superman Movie Casting Call in Ohio – Kids and Adults
While prior experience isn’t required, open availability and being local to the Toledo, Ohio area are key. Casting directors for this project are only considering folks that are local to Toledo, Ohio and surrounding areas as no travel expenses are being covered.

The casting call is scheduled for May 17th from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the casino located on Miami Street. For those unable to attend in person, online auditions are also being accepted. Casting is inclusive of all age groups, with particular emphasis on individuals suitable for scenes set in the casino. Additionally, casting for scenes to be filmed in Sandusky will also take place during the event. Selected actors can expect compensation of $12 per hour, with a minimum guarantee of eight hours per day, even if filming concludes earlier. Overtime pay is applicable after eight hours, and stand-ins will receive $13 per hour with the same guarantee.
Filming is anticipated to occur over seven to ten days in mid to late June, with Lillian Pyles Casting handling talent coordination. While the project remains untitled, it is backed by 20th Century Studios and slated for release on Hulu, although a specific date has yet to be announced.

Major studio feature seeks local talent for filming at Hollywood Casino TOLEDO, OH – An untitled feature film from 20th Century Studios will be filming at the Hollywood Casino in Toledo, OH and local casting has begun.
They are looking for actors 21+ of all ethnicities, shapes, and sizes.
An open call for talent will take place at the Hollywood Casino, located at 1968 Miami St., Toledo, OH, 43605, on May 17th, 2024 from 3PM-7PM.
Must be 21+! No prior experience needed!
FilmToledo, the regional film commission covering the Toledo and Northwest Ohio area, assisted with location scouting for the project, secured the cooperation of the City of Toledo and is working with Cleveland-based agency Lillian Pyles Casting and Toledo-based Toledo Talent to find local talent for the film.
“We’re excited to help bring a large-scale film project here, showcase the beautiful Hollywood Casino and riverfront, and bring direct economic impact to our region,” writes Michael DeSanto, Executive Director of FilmToledo.
Additional scenes are being filmed in Cleveland, OH and Sandusky, OH. The untitled film, produced by 20th Century Studios, is planned for release on Hulu.
