Attention talented female vocalists and tap dancers!
The Satin Dollz are holding auditions for 2024 and open calls will be held in Des Moines, Iowa, Los Angeles, California, Nashville, Tennessee and also in Ortana, Italy. The touring show is looking for singers in the above mentioned cities as well as tap dancers in the Los Angeles area. See below for details.
The internationally renowned vintage big band act, The Satin Dollz, is on the lookout for performers for paid live gigs. With multiple casts, you can accept gigs on a gig-to-gig basis as per your schedule.
Applicants must reside locally to the city they are submitting for.
The Satin Dollz, an acclaimed tap dance group based in Los Angeles, seamlessly blend captivating performances with a timeless style that has enthralled audiences globally. Founded in 2005 by dancer and choreographer Alison Lockfeld, the group draws inspiration from the iconic ensembles of the 1920s, ’30s, and ’40s, paying homage to the elegance of that era. Named after Duke Ellington’s jazz composition “Satin Doll,” the group embodies the sophistication reflected in the music.
Comprised of a talented ensemble of female dancers, the Satin Dollz share a collective passion for preserving and reinterpreting classic tap dance styles. Their performances, characterized by intricate footwork, vibrant costumes, and infectious energy, not only showcase their commitment to the art but also transport audiences back to the golden age of Hollywood. With their unique fusion of vintage charm and modern vibrancy, the Satin Dollz continue to revive and redefine the timeless allure of tap dancing.
Vocalists, please submit a video link featuring two selections (a 16-bar ballad and an upbeat piece) along with a self-introduction, headshot, and resume.
