Disney Auditions Coming to Los Angeles for Singers and Dancers November 16 & 17
Disney is holding open auditions in Los Angeles for both the Broadway and touring productions of The Lion King. This opportunity is open to talented performers who can sing and dance, and no registration is required, just show up. The Disney open audition call will be held in Burbank, California later this month. This is for the the traveling production as well as the Broadway show.
There is a pretty small timeframe for registration. This is an open call where people just show up to be seen by casting directors for Disney shows. However, they set a pretty tight time frame for those who are interested….Yes, as you can see below, they will only register those wanting to audition for one hour.
They also seem to be looking for strong dancers who can also sing, or strong singers who can also dance. While they would like all to bring a song to sing…they do not want anyone to sing anything from the actual Lion King musical.
Seeking strong male-identifying and female-identifying singers who move very well to be in the ensemble and cover principal roles. Be prepared to sing one brief standard R&B, pop or rock-and-roll song that shows off your voice and range. Please do not sing material from THE LION KING. No standard Broadway theatre music. Bring a picture and resume, stapled together. Bring sheet music. A pianist will be provided.
