Call for Indie Film Submissions:
Great Wonders Uplift Film Festival Seeks Inspiring Stories from Across the Nation
Filmmakers, storytellers, and visionaries in the midwest are invited to submit their film projects to the Great Wonders Uplift Film Festival. Submissions are now open for the 2026 Great Wonders Uplift Film Festival, an event that celebrates the power of uplifting storytelling and the cinematic voices that bring light to both bright and dark realities with hope and honesty.
The festival seeks narratives, documentaries, short films, and features that deal with relatable topics and uncover emotional truths. Specifically, films that leave viewers encouraged, uplifted, or transformed, even when exploring difficult themes.
Originally created to spotlight filmmakers from the Four States region of Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, and Oklahoma. This unique festival is expanding in its third season to welcome entries from across the United States. The festival offers a rare and dynamic platform for creators who believe in the power of film to inspire, challenge, and connect audiences on a human level.

The 2026 festival will take place March 5–7 in Webb City and Joplin, Missouri, and will feature a slate of events including screenings, panels, workshops, and an exciting awards ceremony. A total of 19 awards will be presented, including the newly established Kingdom Story Company Award—an honor that will connect one standout filmmaker with industry professionals for direct feedback and exposure.
Special guest Kevin Downes—actor, director, producer, and CEO of Kingdom Story Company—will attend the festival to lead workshops and deliver the keynote address during the awards celebration.
The Great Wonders Uplift Film Festival is more than just a three-day event:
Monthly revenue opportunities are available through Second Sunday Cinema, where selected films are screened for paying audiences, with filmmakers receiving a share of ticket sales.
Ongoing revenue streams are also available through the Uplift Film Channel, a curated streaming platform where award-winning and selected films may be offered for rental and purchase.
Whether you’re a first-time filmmaker or a seasoned director with a new vision, your story might be exactly what the world needs to see.
