The reboot of Prison Break, or at least it is called Prison Break, is filming in West Virginia this spring. Casting directors for the show are seeking area locals who would like to work on set.

Lights, camera, action — West Virginia is once again taking the spotlight with the filming of a high-profile television reboot. The pilot for the new Prison Break series is set to shoot in Moundsville and Wheeling, West Virginia this June, and producers are calling on local residents to get in on the action.

According to the Pittsburgh film office, the upcoming pilot, produced by 20th Television for Hulu, is directed by Elgin James, known for his gritty and authentic work on Mayans M.C. and The Outlaws. The cast includes notable names like Emily Browning (American Gods), Lukas Gage (Euphoria, White Lotus), and Drake Rodger (Landman, The Winchesters). Also according to the Pittsburgh film office, Nancy Mosser casting is in charge of casting extras for Prison Break.

No Acting Experience? No Problem.

This is your chance to appear on camera — no acting experience is required, and people of all ages and backgrounds are welcome to apply. However, the casting team is especially seeking men ages 18 and up to fill key background roles.

Important Details:

Filming Dates: June 6 to June 30, 2025
(No filming on Saturdays or Sundays)

Pay: $210 for a 12-hour guarantee
(Overtime paid after 12 hours; some shoot days may run 12-14 hours)

Transportation: Must have reliable transportation to and from set
