Producer Chad Hamel has announced casting for the upcoming short film The Door That Exits Earth, which is set to shoot January 2–5, 2026, near Lakeland, Florida. The production is currently seeking an actress to portray The Wife, a key supporting role that requires a strong physical and emotional presence with minimal dialogue.
About the Film:
The Door That Exits Earth is a haunting meditation on grief, memory, and the fragile boundaries of reality. After a devastating personal loss, a man drifts through the haze of sorrow and begins seeing mysterious glowing EXIT signs that seem to beckon him beyond the limits of his world. As he follows their call, memory and escape intertwine in an emotional and dreamlike journey.

The Wife (Supporting)
Female, 20–25
A graceful, distant figure who exists in the blurred space between memory and the beyond. She embodies both comfort and catalyst, appearing as an ethereal presence in the protagonist’s fractured reality.
The role is highly physical and nonverbal, making a background in dance or theater an asset, though not required.
