What’s Eating Mascot Girl?
Audition Location: Edmonton, AB
Audition Category: Films

What’s Eating Mascot Girl is an urgent, nail biting slice of horror set in the confines of a minor league hockey team’s arena. The short film follows Alyssa Miller, the young woman tasked with being the mascot for the Brookstone Caribou, as she is bitten by a zombie and must try and escape the arena before the arrival of the hockey players to avoid infecting them too.

ROLES REQUIRED:

Alyssa Miller/Mascot Girl (19-28)- The protagonist. Alyssa is overworked, undervalued and incredibly frazzled, only called ‘Mascot Girl’ by her bosses, who don’t care enough to respect her.

Female Zombie (name unknown) (30-40)- The antagonist. What was once an office secretary is now a husk of rotting flesh with a never ending hunger for the living.

Callum Smith (20)- Supporting character. Callum wears jersey #8 for the Caribou, and is kind, caring and always concerned for the wellbeing of others, a trait that may or may not come back to bite him.

Submission Instructions:

Please send a headshot, actor’s resume and a brief monologue (or a creature acting sample for those auditioning for the zombie). I will pour over your submissions after the deadline and select one for each role, but I’ll keep others in mind should one suddenly cancel.
