‘STARING AT THE SUN’ Feature Film Casting Call

- Elijah (Lead) – Male, 18-30
Deeply charming, quick-witted, and mercurial. Well-known around town for his magnetic personality and ability to talk to anyone. Complex. He flies too close to the sun. Think of the most electric person you’ve ever met. That’s Elijah. Leader of garage band ‘Johnny Taking Acid’, singing & instruments are heavily preferred. Queer character, - Will (Lead): Male, 18-30.
Sweet, funny, boy-next-door. He is balanced and home-grown, but an alternative to his small town. Plays guitar in garage band ‘Johnny Taking Acid’, so musical talent is heavily preferred. He would love to just play music for the rest of his life, but quickly falls into blue-collar work out of necessity. - Seth (Lead): Male, 18-30
A wallflower. Shy, thoughtful, observant, and quiet, but funny and curious once he warms up or is let in. He’s a stoner but lives with his religious grandparents and attends church every week. Plays keys in garage band, Johnny Taking Acid, so musical talent is heavily preferred. Queer character. - Johnny (Lead): Male, 18-30
The wild child. Always an oddball, he will do anything once, but with a strong moral compass and a lot of heart. Somehow both punk and religious. He is enlisted in the army in hopes of turning his rambunctious energy into something good. Drummer of the band, Johnny Taking Acid, so drumming experience is heavily preferred! Must be willing to get a buzzcut when he enlists.
