Young performers in the New York area have an opportunity to join the Broadway company of the Tony Award-winning musical Ragtime.
The production is currently accepting video submissions for the role of Little Coalhouse, a featured non-speaking role in the acclaimed musical.
Auditions for Kids – New York area
Seeking a Black male child between the ages of 6 and 7 who is 3’7″ or smaller.
The child actor MUST be local to the NYC area.
Described as small, winning, innocent, pure, spunky, and fearless, Little Coalhouse serves as an important presence in the show, appearing in brief but memorable moments at both the beginning and end of the production.
Two child actors will alternate performances in the role.
Applicants do not need to be members of Actors’ Equity to be considered.
However, performers must be able to work as local hires in the New York area.
