SYNOPSIS:
The story of James Whale, the director of Frankenstein and Bride of Frankenstein, in the time period following the Korean War. Whale is homosexual and develops a friendship with his Gardener (Clayton Boone), an ex-Marine.
CHARACTER BIOS:
CLAYTON BOONE – 26 years old, Korean War veteran, landscaper, flat-top or short military looking haircut, Marine Corp., Tattoo, Rough-hewn.
Clayton grew up in a middle class household and dropped out of college to join the Marine Corp. Now he mows lawns to make ends meet and get by. He has loose morals and lack of direction due to grim worldly experiences.
JAMES WHALE – 67 years old, White Hair, well-dressed, seer-sucker jacket, well-groomed and has British accent.
James grew up in lower class England, slept four to a bed. He was thrown into hard labor at a young age and has resentment towards his father. He has poor health, is homosexual and is a very artistic film maker and painter. Now retired, he spends his days painting and sketching.
