This audition is specifically for a Coronado Tourism video. “The Surf Girls” are being created just for this promo. There is a two-minute Beach Boy’s sounding song that the girls will record over an existing backing track. There will be three to five Surf Girls for this spot.
Time commitment is two 3-hour rehearsal days, one 4-hour recording session at a studio in downtown SD and one filming day on Coronado. The compensation is limited for this gig: $50 – $100 per singer plus meals and possibly transportation reimbursement.
If the singers gel and there is a sound and look that is commercially viable – the plan is to create additional music videos, webisodes and do more commercial/promotional work in the San Diego / Orange County area. There is no plan for this group to perform live at this time.
