The Bystander (A Short Film)

RubyCube Entertainment is casting for The Bystander. It is short film about a group of four friends contemplating their role in the bullying of a classmate.
We are holding auditions for Jane, Jared, Ethan, Claire, David and Brian
Jane Doe: The main character with voice overs. Guilty bystander. She is the glue that holds all of the friends together. 15-18 years old.
Jared Bluckle: Friend who has no pity and thinks victim deserved everything. The type who thinks suicide is completely senseless and has no point. He is tough looking with short hair. 15-18 years old.
Claire Cleary: She is very emotional about everything. She didn’t really know the victim but because he’s dead she insantly loves him and pities him. Blond, new agey, who wears flowy clothing. 15-18 years old.
Ethan Gordo: Was close friends with the victim but is in extreme denial about his death. He has convinced himself that nothing happened. He’s angry when people try and convince him otherwise. 15-18 years old.
David Canter – The victim. Has no lines in the film but is shown in memories. He’s secretly in love with Jane but would only ever admit it to his best friend, Ethan. Ideally dark hair, not very strong but not very weak either. 15-18 years old.
Brian Hester – The bully. Good looking and strong but not overly strong. Short brown hair. He comes from a good family and is generally nice to people he likes. 15-18 years old.
This is a student short that will be submitted to various film festivals so unfortunately it is non-paid. However, it will be made available on-line for you to include in your portfolio.
Auditions will be held on February 4th in Ipswich, MA. Shooting will take place March 4th, 9th, 11th, 17th and 18th (actors will not be required to attend all dates and locations and dates are being finalized now).
