Auditions for “Cinderella” – La Salle, IL

Stage 212 in La Salle, Illinois has just announced auditions for their 2015 production of Rodgers and Hammerstein musical “Cinderella“.

Cinderella” is a musical adaptation of the classic fairy tale. Open auditions for singers, actors and dancers will take place on Friday, April 10, and Saturday, April 11, at Manahan Centre, 700 First St. The Friday auditions will begin at 7PM and the following Saturday’s auditions will begin at 10 AM. Callbacks will follow on Saturday at 5 PM. The show will be directed by Phil Grant who will be casting lead and supporting roles. There are 6 principal roles available, as well as 3 smaller roles and ensemble which will include both dancers and singers. “Cinderella” will be performed beginning Friday, July 17, and the show will run through Sunday, Aug. 2.

Rodgers & Hammerstein’s CINDERELLA is the musical from the creators of South Pacific and The Sound of Music that has delighting audiences of all ages. This lush production will feature an incredible costumes, jaw-dropping transformations and all the moments you love—the pumpkin, the glass slipper, the masked ball and more! Be transported back to your childhood as you rediscover some of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s most beloved songs, including “In My Own Little Corner,” “Impossible/It’s Possible” and “Ten Minutes Ago” in this hilarious and romantic musical experience for anyone who’s ever had a dream.

7 p.m. Friday, April 10, and 10 a.m. Saturday, April 11.

Actors should come prepared with a song selection no longer than one minute to be sung a cappella, and should wear clothing appropriate for a dance audition.

“Cinderella”  auditions are open to talent of all experience levels and no prior theatrical experience is needed to be considered for the roles.
