The Alabama Dance Theatre is excited to announce an upcoming open Children’s Audition for the enchanting full-length production of “Cinderella.”
“Cinderella” is a timeless fairy tale that has captured the hearts of audiences for generations. The story, with its roots in various folktales, gained widespread popularity after Disney’s adaptation in 1950. The timeless story of Cinderella has been produced as many stage productions and feature films.
The story follows the journey of Cinderella, a kind and gentle young woman mistreated by her wicked stepmother and stepsisters. Despite her hardships, Cinderella remains optimistic and holds onto her dreams. With the help of her fairy godmother, she is magically transformed, allowing her to attend the royal ball where she captures the heart of Prince Charming.
The production of “Cinderella” is scheduled to grace the stage at Troy University’s Davis Theatre (251 Montgomery St, Montgomery, AL 36104) from March 7-10, 2024.
The audition process focuses on evaluating participants’ acting skills, dancing ability, and musicality. This audition is set to take place on Saturday, January 27th, from 10:30-11:30 am. We are actively seeking talented boys and girls in first grade and up to fill various roles, including pages, mouse family, pumpkins, petals, bumblebees, birds, fireflies, fairy attendants, and horses.

This production does have an audition fee for kids that would like to try out for the show. The audition fee is $35.00, which will be refunded if the candidate is not selected. To secure your spot, please register on the website at https://www.alabamadancetheatre.com/.
The auditions will be conducted at the Alabama Dance Theatre’s studios, conveniently located at 1018 Madison Avenue.
