Open Auditions at Busch Gardens Tampa Entertainment Dept. – Sunday, April 12th, 2015
Seeking Dancers, Singers, Actors, Musicians, Stilt Walkers
Busch Gardens Tampa will be holding open auditions on Sunday April 12th for current day shows, Spring event, and Spring Day shows plus preliminary casting for Kinetix. Please see below for more detailed casting information. Callbacks will be held later that day, so please make arrangements to be available.
All performers must bring a current headshot and resume to the audition.
Arrival Times
Actors & Stilt Walkers 11:00 am
Singers (If you would like to audition with a monologue, come at 11:00 am) 12:00 pm
Costumed Characters 12:30 pm
Musicians 2:00 pm
Dancers 3:00 pm
Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your audition time to fill out paperwork. It is very important to be on time, as late arrivals will not be permitted to audition. If you are auditioning for multiple talents, please arrive at the time for your earliest talent.

Dancers
Trained and proficient in jazz and/or ballet
Hip Hop and break dancing a plus for males.
Tumbling a plus for both males and females.
Able to perform multiple high energy shows each day
Day & Evening shifts available, depending on the show.
Females- between 5’2″ and 5′??10″
Males – 5′??6″ or taller
Audition begins at 3:00pm
Singers
Seeking energetic and powerful male and female singers with a contemporary pop/rock style for various shows throughout the park.
High Belt (Females- High F, Males- High G)
Able to perform multiple high energy shows each day
Must be able to sing a modern pop/rock style (ex: Pink, Beyonce, Usher, Gavin Degraw)
Daytime & Evening shifts available
Must be able to move well
Please prepare 32 bars of a contemporary pop/rock piece. Bring a CD, mp3 player or sheet music in your key. A cappella singing will not be permitted.
Audition begins at 12:00pm
Actors
Looking for male actors for our Spring Event
Must be available evenings beginning in February for rehearsal.
Must be available Saturday & Sunday nights from Through May (Additional Summer positions also available)
Arrive at 11:00 am on the day of your audition
Please prepare a 1 minute comedic monologue and be prepared to perform some improv.
Musicians
Looking for guitar, bass, drum kit and keyboard players
Also looking for violin players for pre-show and atmospheric opportunities
Must be technically proficient and able to read music
Please prepare 1 minute of a contemporary pop/rock piece and a gospel-style piece to play at your audition
Arrive at 2:00 pm on the day of your audition
Costume Characters
Must be between 4′??10″? and 6′??2″.
Must be able to stand for up to 2 hours at a time.
Must be able to carry the weight of a full costume character for up to 1 hour at a time.
Will need to withstand the Florida summer weather while in costume.
Should be able to follow simple dance movements.
Performance experience a plus but not required.
You will be asked to learn a dance combo and participate in improv and athletic stamina exercises.
Please arrive at 12:30 pm on the day of your audition.
Stilt Walkers
Strong male & female stilt walkers
Must be available for daytime and weekend shifts
Stilt experience not required
Experience on jumping stilts a plus!
Puppeteering experience a plus!
Arrive at 11:00 am on the day of your audition with a 1 minute comedic monologue
