Non-union short film, “Reno,” seeks three cast members.
“Reno” shoots from 3/31 – 4/3 in Monessen, PA, in the studio at The Factory Digital Filmmaking Program at Douglas Education Center. While crewed by students of the program, this film will be directed by a guest director from Los Angeles.

Synopsis:
After losing the love his life thirty years ago, a lonely man tries to recreate their last happy memory together by hiring a prostitute.
Roles:
CLANCY / Male / Caucasian / 25-35
Clancy is a man of the cloth, whose path has been challenged by Mary. He’s hesitant about the start of this new affair, torn between passion and conviction. Clancy will lose faith in one aspect of his life and need to place it in another.
CLANCY / Male / Caucasian / 55-65
After losing Mary 30 years prior, Clancy has allowed himself to merely exist, and nothing more. He has never found love again, only the bottom of a bottle and a sad, lonely existence. He turns towards a prostitute to recreate his last happy memory with Mary, but realizes it’s a pointless effort.
MARY/LUCY / Female / Caucasian / 25-30
Mary is wholesome, sweet, and beautiful – the kind of girl you wouldn’t believe was having an affair. Late 70’s style, bordering on 50’s housewife.
Lucy is a dead ringer for Mary, but from the wrong side of the tracks. She traded in her education for a pack of smokes and never looked back. As long as there’s a couple of bucks involved, she’d be up for anything.
NOTE: While the character Lucy is a prostitute, there will be NO NUDITY and NO SEXUAL SITUATIONS real or simulated. It’s not that kind of movie, folks.
