DARLIE CASTING CALL
In 1996, in small town Rowlett, TX, Darlie Routier called 911 in a panic. She claimed that an intruder came into her home and stabbed her and her two sons. The police investigated the crime, and they came to the conclusion that Darlie killed her sons. Darlie sits on death-row, but she has maintained her innocence since her arrest. We are looking for actors who have strong theories about the case. They will present their theories and then be able to re-enact them.
Darlie Routier- Late 20’s- Early 30’s, a beautiful southern belle. She is accused of murdering her two children. Actors must be comfortable on camera as themselves and have strong opinions about the case.
Darin Routier- Late 20’s- Early 30’s, a once-successful business man, his company is going under. Actors must be comfortable on camera as themselves and have strong opinions about the case.
Greg Davis- Early 30’s- Late 40’s, a successful, but ruthless prosecutor. He is in charge of the Routier Murder Trail. Actors must be comfortable on camera as themselves and have strong opinions about the case.
Damon Routier- 5, lovable and sweet, he is charming and innocent. *Please note that this actor and his parent/legal guardian must be comfortable with their child portraying this role, there is going to be several re-enactments, which could be violent. We will try to make the actor as comfortable as possible. Older children will be considered, providing they look similar to the specified age.
Devon Routier- 7, charming and energetic, he is slightly more “crazy” then Damon. *Please note that this actor and his parent/legal guardian must be comfortable with their child portraying this role, there is going to be several re-enactments, which could be violent. We will try to make the actor as comfortable as possible. Older children will be considered, providing they look similar to the specified age.
Drake Routier- 8 months old, *This role is only for some minor shots, so male or female actors are welcome
