This project at a glance
This is a “no-pay” project, which will be filmed in Palm Bay, Florida. (One hour east of Orlando, near Melbourne). We are looking for a 2-male acting team, and you MUST have an acting partner to apply so that you can practice your comedy routine together. The short film will be combined with several other shorts to make a feature-length movie.
The Film
We are doing a five-minute, “G-rated” comedy short called “Cousin Jake’s Divorce”. It is patterned after a popular radio show from the 1940s called The Abbott and Costello Show. To give it the look and feel of that era, we are shooting it in the old-fashioned “square” TV format, and it will be photographed in black-and-white. A laugh-track will also be added. The finished film will be used for IMDB credits, actor demo reels, You Tube, and film festivals. It will also be combined with several other shorts to make a feature-length movie.
