Casting Tattoo Shops for Black Ink Crew

Get cast on Black Ink Crew

VH1’s Black Ink Crew is casting tattoo shops nationwide to be featured on the show.

The VH1 reality series premiered in 2013 and followed an African American owned tattoo shop in Harlem NY. In 2015 a spin-off was announced called Black Ink Crew Chicago and now it looks like VH1 may be looking for a tattoo shop in another city to feature on the show.

Casting directors for Black Ink Crew have released a casting call for brick and mortar shops to represent their city on the TV show. The casting notice specifically is asking for neighborhood shops that work like a family. The show is looking for tattoo shop owners to represent their city for a chance to be the next VH1 Black Ink Crew.

Shops interested in the show can email short videos of a shop tour as well as introductions of the staff who would also like to be cast on the show.

Think you and your tattoo shop have what it takes to be the next Black Ink Crew?

Tell us why by emailing us a two minute video tour of shop — by your shop owner — telling us why your shop, your employees, and your city are worthy of Black Ink, AND send us photos and videos of the employees who would appear on camera. I can be a receptionist, clean up the shop, or manage I don’t tattoo, I get them? and after I was choked, beaten &stabbed by my schizoaffective husband who heard voices telling him to kill me after he took stuff it has changed my life I’m in love with him so this hurt me very much obviously but I stay genuinely positive appreciating my blessings. I would love to be able to tell my story and raise awareness about mental illness and drugs and I think I would really be the glue that holds the whole team together reminding them how short life is and to stay strong 🙂 I’m also fun and will definitely brighten their days
