Project Synopsis
“Ens Rationis” is a short supernatural thriller. Ten years ago, in a desperate moment, Vivian entered into a mysterious covenant with an enigmatic stranger who promised her something no one else could. Now, in the dead of night, she abandons the love of her life to make a lonely rendezvous and settle her debt. What has the bargain cost her, and was it all worth it?
Character Biographies
NIGHT CLERK (Supporting): ?Female, any ethnicity, age 25+ Idiosyncratic hotel clerk whose years behind the lonely night desk have driven her just a little batty. She exhibits odd, obsessive behaviors, and there may be more to her than meets the eye. Specific age/appearance is less important than an ability to bring offbeat energy to the role.
MARK (Supporting):? Male, any ethnicity, age 30-45
Handsome and fit, with an easy charm, Mark has been with Vivian for the last five years. He is confused and heartbroken by the strange changes in her recent behavior. *Must be comfortable in (non-explicit) romantic scenes featuring both male and female partners.
VIVIAN’S MOTHER (Featured):? Female, Caucasian, age 50+ Vivian’s mother appears in flashbacks as a supportive and loving role model for her daughter
