HOUSES IN MOTION SHORT FILM – Casting our young male lead!

Our small team is looking to cast the young lead in our upcoming film currently titled Houses in Motion. The film centers around the relationship of an early 20’s woman and her younger brother. The story takes the characters on a Christmas day trip to a less than savory part of town and tests their relationship.
This film is being made in conjunction with the University of Arizona School of Theatre, Film, and Television BFA Senior Thesis Program. Which allows it all the Insurance and Safety measures required and granted to the production.

We are looking for our young lead!
The character of ANDY (10-16) can be described as the naive sidekick looking to take control of his destiny. But don’t get me wrong, he is smart…. Just a little too trusting. He would do anything for his sister, he looks up to her just like any younger sibling. But tonight may be the night where that naive attitude is washed away. While there is nothing too specific required of the character, the actor should be able to reasonably play a 13-ish-year-old. With room to play. The range required from sincere to responsible.
CONSIDERATIONS:-
Willingness to be near someone smoking-
Able to ride a bicycle-
Parents willing to be on set with the minor/have someone responsible for them-
Tentative dates of Nov. 15th – 17th (3-day shoot)-
Malleable to time and working with a crew consisting mainly of early 20’s filmmakers.
