Former child star Hailee Howard adjusts to college life and navigates the fame that has followed her into adulthood. When a school play presents itself as a perfect opportunity to embolden her stardom, she must grapple with the burden that her celebrity can place on others.

Miranda Cosgrove/Selena Gomez/Vanessa Hudgens type. Made a name for herself as a Disney/Nickelodeon-type child actress with a popular TV show, Harper’s World, where she played the titular character. Has struggled to find work in subsequent years, but not for a lack of trying. Confident, but extremely sensitive. Has a chronic case of ‘main character syndrome’.
[CLAIRE] [GENDER: FEMALE] [AGE: 18]
Olivia Rodrigo type. Kind-hearted and compassionate, but is used to being taken for granted. Her upbringing could not be more different than Hailee’s, and thus she has an entirely different worldview. Has always wanted to be an actress, but has never been given her time to shine. Extremely patient with Hailee, but you get the sense that it’s more for her own peace of mind than for Hailee’s.
[JEREMY] [GENDER: MALE] [AGE: 18/19]
Timothee Chalamet/Logan Lerman type. Laid back, down to Earth, definitely a Portlander. Is able to offer a very chill, quiet juxtaposition to Hailee’s flashy Hollywood personality. Funny, but not showy about it. Has a higher GPA than you would expect from him—he’s intelligent and calculated, but still maintains a healthy spontaneity.
