About the show:

Crime Scene Kitchen” is a reality TV show that aired on the Fox network. Premiering in May 2021, the show offers a unique twist on the cooking competition genre by combining baking skills with investigative elements. Hosted by Joel McHale, “Crime Scene Kitchen” challenges teams of bakers to decipher and recreate desserts based on the remnants left behind in a mock crime scene.

The premise of the show revolves around a fictional crime scene set in a kitchen where a dessert has been prepared. Contestants are presented with the aftermath of the dessert creation, including leftover ingredients, utensils, and messy workspaces. Their task is to examine the clues and evidence in the kitchen to deduce the type of dessert that was made and then replicate it themselves.

The challenges in “Crime Scene Kitchen” require contestants to identify the dessert’s components, flavors, and techniques used in its preparation. The teams must then bake their interpretation of the dessert within a limited time frame. The creations are judged by a panel of culinary experts who evaluate the bakers’ accuracy in both their deduction and their execution of the dessert.
