Torrid announced an open casting call for plus size models.
If you are a curvy girl who loves the Torrid brand of women’s clothing which is created specifically for casting models that are plus sized and curvy, here is your chance because Torrid is holding their annual model search this spring. Those who want to model for the Torrid brand can apply online through June 30th and they can also apply to be a Torrid model in person at one of their open model casting calls that are scheduled to come to various cities in the next few months.
The company will be travelling across America in search of models to represent their line and will also be taking modeling applications online. For those not familiar with the brand, Torrid caters to curvy women sizes 10 to 30.
The Torrid fashion brand specializes in providing trendy and stylish clothing options for larger sized women. Founded in 2001, Torrid has become a leading retailer known for its inclusive approach to fashion, offering a wide range of apparel, accessories, lingerie, and footwear designed to empower and celebrate women of all shapes and sizes. Torrid is asking models to submit an online application, photos and a video sharing why they want to be a Torrid model. The deadline to apply is July 30. This is a modeling contest of sorts which includes prizes. The grand prize winner will be announced in September and featured in a 2024 or 2025 campaign photoshoot, in addition to receiving a Torrid wardrobe for one year (valued at $15,000 USD), a cash prize of $2,000 USD, and an opportunity to sign with a global talent management agency.

Here are the current modeling audition cities that have been announced:
- Los Angeles, California: May 4
- San Antonio, Texas: May 18
- Minneapolis, Minnesota: June 2
- Deptford, New Jersey: June 8
- Nashville, Tennessee: June 15
Across all events, attendees will be treated to touch-ups by professional hair and makeup artists, an opportunity to get photos taken, branded swag and treats, and select locations will include live DJs and more.
