This is the story of three couples, all at different points in their lives and in different social strata. They are all linked, and not just because all of the husbands work at the same firm. Frank Foster and his wife Fiona are at the top of the three couples. Frank is the boss at work and he and Fiona have been married the longest.

Bob and Teresa Phillips are the youngest couple, but they would have the greatest chance of upward social mobility, if Bob wasn’t such a boor and if Teresa wasn’t such a slob, and if their baby wasn’t possibly an alien. William and Mary Featherstone make up the third, socially hopeless, side of this hysterical triangle.

The play takes place simultaneously in the living rooms of the Foster’s and the Phillip’s. The characters unknowingly share the same space together, which only adds to the hilarity. This intermingling is most notable when the Featherstone’s join the Foster’s for dinner on Thursday, and the Phillip’s for dinner on Friday and it all takes place at the same time in the same location.

Roles available for 3 men and 3 women

All actors will be asked to use a Standard British accent

Frank Foster (45-62): An officious Brit; forgetful, over-bearing and often clueless.
Fiona Foster (40’-50’s): Frank’s wife. Intelligent, in-charge, sophisticated, aloof, and is having an affair with Bob.
Bob Phillips (30–45): Works for Frank and is having an affair with Frank’s wife. Can be a loud boor with a soft core.
Teresa Phillips (25-40): Bob’s wife. A slobby, overstressed spacey dreamer who can become quite earthy when provoked or drunk.
William Featherstone (25-45): A fawning, socially misfit accountant who worries too much. He is married to Mary.
Mary Featherstone (25-45): William’s shy, mousy wife, introverted and insecure.
