Auditions Casting for “The Abiding Amour” Premiering May 5th 2018 at The Arc Theatre DC

Roles:

Serenity- 24 to 30, AA women (Main Character) she is newly married, she is dedicated to her husband and her writing career. She just started an editorial company, she mostly works from home. Singing required

Stephan- 24 to 30, AA male (Main Character) he is newly married to (Serenity) his sneaker empire began to bloom after two years of getting it off the ground. Serenity is the only girlfriend he’s ever had, as they are high school sweethearts. Singing Required

Bo- Supporting Role: Stephan’s cousin who grew up in the same house hold as him, he’s been in and out of trouble most of his life. Very playful, doesn’t take life too seriously.

Jazz- Supporting Role: AA women, Light in complexion, Best friend of Serenity, they met during middle school, she begins as a supportive friend, down for whatever, she eventually turns on Serenity.

Rajag- Supporting Role: 24 to 30, AA female, stud like, the mistress, who sweeps Serenity off her feet and raises her consciousness to a higher level of thinking.

Malcolm-Supporting Role: 24 to 30, Stephan’s best friend of five years.

Ms. Jay- Supporting Role: 40 to 50, AA Women, Stephan’s mother who is diagnosed with an illness and eventually moves into the home with her son and daughter in-law.

Momma B- Supporting Role: 50 to 60 years of age, AA women, nosey, always inquiring, mother of Serenity who comes over unannounced. She means well. Singing Required

Treesha – Supporting Role: 30 to 40, AA women, sister of Serenity, the backbone that keeps everyone aligned. Singing Required
