“The Leftovers” is now filming around the Austin area and has a rush call out for biker types.
Brock Allen casting is seeking to cast extras to play a born-again Christian biker gang in a scene that will be filming on the 12th of this month. The scene will film in the South Austin area and will be a night shoot.
“The Leftovers” is based on the best-seller by Tom Perrotta. “The Leftovers” is created by “Lost” co-creator Damon Lindelof and Tom Perrotta. Serving as executive producers are Lindelof, Perrotta, Peter Berg and Sarah Aubrey. The Leftovers chronicles what happens to life on Earth following an event called “The sudden departure”, during which millions of people just disappeared without a trace. “The sudden departure” took some, yet left others behind and every single person left behind is touched by the loss of loved ones in the “Sudden Departure.” During the event, 140 million people just disappeared into thin air and every person left on Earth is touched by the event and the loss of loved ones. The sudden disappearance has led to a rise in cult-like groups one of which is called Guilty Remnant.
The series follows Kevin Garvey (Justin Theroux), a father of two and the chief of police. Three years after 2% of the world’s population abruptly disappears without explanation, The chief of police in Mapleton, N.Y., tries to keep some normalcy when the notion of “normal” no longer applies. Intense grief has divided families and turned faith to cynicism, paranoia and madness, leading some of the traumatized to join the Guilty Remnant.
