We are making a short film for an Olympic College project.
Malia “Mal” works as a waitress in a dive bar in a downtown neighborhood. She lives with her younger girlfriend Heather in a simple apartment a couple blocks from work. There has been a series of murders in the neighborhood of late, and on this slow night she decides there is nothing for her to worry about and walks home alone. Things get interesting when on her way home she meets Shining Addison; a local vagrant that hasn’t been seen since before the murders began.
Character Breakdowns:
- Malia “Mal” (Lead): Female, 24-28, any ethnicity. A no nonsense woman, she’s tough as nails and doesn’t like anyone telling her she can’t do something even though she’s cute as a kitten. She can be of any nationality but must be fluent in English. Accents are acceptable so long as they are not thick.
- Fred (Supporting): Male, 30-40, Caucasian. He is a big bear man who is burned out and a bit jaded after a long time working as a Bartender.
- Gary (Supporting): Male, 20-25, any ethnicity. He is a tech nerd who struck gold with a program he sold. Now he inhabits the bar that Fred and Malia work at.
- Jenny (Supporting): Female, 24-28, Caucasian. She is a local call girl who inhabits the bar.
- Carlos (Supporting): Male, 30-40, any ethnicity. He is the cook, and he looks like he ruled a prison yard; rugged, seasoned, tattooed. Carlos drinks a 5th of cheap whiskey or tequila a day.
- Heather (Supporting): Female, 18-20, any ethnicity. She is Malia’s pampered girlfriend. She is young and naive and deeply in love.
- Shining Addison (Supporting): Male, 20-60, any ethnicity. He is a homeless man of large stature in the area near the bar and is known to have violent outbursts.

This is an up-paid student film project, Non-Paid but talent will receive Film Credit, Digital Copy of Film.
