The sequel to “Jack Reacher” is now filming in Louisiana and has a few new casting calls out in the NOLA area.
Central released a few more calls today for a variety of small roles. The movie is looking to cast some very specific types and skills as well as a good amount of general extras to play military and pedestrians. Please see all the casting information below.
In the ‘Jack Reacher‘ sequel, Cruise plays Jack Reacher, an ex military police officer who has turned into a wandering loner. In the upcoming sequel, Jack Reacher returns to the headquarters of his old unit, only to find out he’s now accused of a 16-year-old homicide.
The movies are based on a series of novels written by author Lee Child. The original ‘Jack Reacher‘ film was inspired by Child’s novel 9th novel in the series, One Shot and the sequel will be based on the 18th book in the series, Never Go Back. “Never Go Back” is being directed by Edward Zwick and also stars Cobie Smulders and Danika Yarosh. The Paramount Pictures film is set to hit movie theaters next fall on October 21st 2016.
According to Variety, Heroes Reborn star Danika Yarosh may be taking a co-starring female role in Jack Reacher 2 with Cobie Smulders playing the other leading lady in Jack’s latest adventure. Cinemablend reports that the 16 year old actress has been screen testing with Cruise. The Mission Impossible star has recently proved his box office worth with his latest Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation which took in an astounding 480 million plus. Ed Zwick (The Last Samurai) is set to direct ‘Jack Reacher 2.‘
