Naked and Afraid is now casting folks across the US who believe they have the hardcore survival skills to last 21 days in the wild with pretty much nothing but the one thing they are allowed to bring. Naked and Afraid does not just issues a survival challenge, the show challenges the competitors to actually do this butt naked! “Naked and Afraid” – Two complete strangers, stranded in one place with absolutely nothing but an item each that they were allowed to bring. The show normally featured a male and female competitor, however, other formats have been spun off, some of which involved groups working together.
According to Discovery – For 21 days, one man and one woman – meeting for the first time in the nude – are paired and tasked to survive in some of the world’s most extreme environments… with no food, water or clothes.
This season, a whole new crop of extreme survivalists will tackle brand new international locations from Australia to Croatia and Canada, along with Alabama and Texas for the first time. They’ll suffer the world’s most hostile climates and encountering new and deadly animals including large cats, bears and some of the world’s most deadly reptiles. They will need to surmount physical challenges to create shelter, forage for food and find water.
But as the days wear on and the danger ramps up – the mental challenge can become unbearable… Will any of them be strong enough, physically and mentally, to last 21 days NAKED AND AFRAID?

On Naked/Afraid XL, Clarence was stung by a scorpion. The medics checked blood pressure with his legs crossed. I’m a nurse and legs must be straightened or the blood pressure is incorrect, maybe falsely high. I love the show, not a criticizm, they just need to know. Thank you all.

I am a 49 yr old former Boy Scout, US Army Infantry Soldier from the 10th Mountain and a survivalist. While in both the Boy Scouts and the Army I survived off what was around me, almost never had anything but a knife with me. This would be a perfect challenge for me. I want to test myself by being on this show.

Sitting here watching Naked and Afraid marathons again. Love this show so I starting researching and found that your still making casting calls! Awesome I thought so here I am to apply. I am a 39 year old man from massachusetts who has spent most of his life outdoors hiking,fishing,canoeing, camping etc. My weaknesses are navigating,swimming (too lean to float),and the cold. My strengths are courage, intelligence, fire building, fishing, trapping, foraging, building shelters, climbing, endurance, and many more. I also require very little food or water compared to most people. I have a loving family and great kid, I want to show her that even when your vulnerable and scared you can still be courageous and make it through the most challenging of times. I work very well with others and will do my best to carry my partner and I for the 21 days. I am stubborn and don’t quit once I start something. Please consider me for your challenge.

If these comments are going to the casting director(s), I have a question to you about Naked and Afraid: Why are YOU afraid to consider people outside your imaginary age parameters?
As some of us age, we lose some skills and abilities, true, but also grow in smarts (wiles). I am 72, with a decent background and bank of knowledge and skills in survival techniques, but as important, a long history of perseverance. Most importantly, I am not afraid, to be naked in public or to be the oldest competitor/survivor you ever had.
Many people do not like the age restrictions, however, this is a reality show with an audience within a certain range. Countless people have emailed over the years, especially about the age ranges within many reality shows such as The Bachelor, Bachelorette, Modeling shows, etc. Fact is that networks are businesses which make money off advertising. They must cater to the companies paying the bills and set age ranges to appeal to the demographics that their advertisers are targeting. TV shows are a for profit industry.
72 and not afraid to go naked in the jungle? Awesome! You have most 30 year olds beat by a mile. Apply and see what happens. Worst anyone can say is no which is still in the same place anyone would be if they never applied.

Hey I’m interested in this challenge. I think I can make it because I’ve had a lot of training in basic survival skills and used those skills in the military. I love an Adrenalin rush and am constantly seeking new challenges. For example I jump out of planes for a living and rock climb. At first glance after watching this show my impression is that this would be so easy for me, but at the same time I can’t judge it till I try it. I already applied on metal flowers.
