Can you politicize any conversation?
MTV is looking for young people fighting on the frontlines of a controversial cause in their hometown.
From transgender rights to the opioid epidemic to reproductive rights in a pro-life town, we are looking for those who are passionately pushing against the grain, increasing awareness, or advocating for changing overwhelmingly popular policies in their community.
Are you a millennial fighting for a cause in a community where your views are largely unpopular or worse, ignored? Are you considered a rebel rouser or a nuisance to the “rule makers” or those in charge? Do your political or religious beliefs differ drastically from those closest to you? Are residents of your hometown offended by opinions or beliefs? Have your attempts to protest been shut down or silenced by those in power?
