NBC new series ‘Chicago PD’ open auditions in Chicago

NBC’s new series ‘Chicago PD’ is having an open casting call for extras this weekend in Chicago. ‘Chicago PD’ is a spin-off of the current running show ‘Chicago Fire’.

The new series just came out this year and follows District 21 of the Chicago Police Department. The show actually has a rather large cast and follows not 1, but 2 units of the Chicago Police department. One unit are beat cops that hit the street in uniforms taking down street violence and petty offenders while the 2nd unit is a major crimes division that investigates the bigger issues.

The show is directed by Joe Chappelle, is created by Dick Wolf and Matt Olmstead and stars Jason Beghe, Kelly Blatz, Sophia Bush and many many more fine actors. Dick Wolf was also the creator of Law and Order and it’s 2 spin offs, Law and Order: Criminal Intent and Special Victims.

The open casting call for extras will be held this Sunday at The Service Building (2nd floor), 2600 W. 16th. (Park in the free lot off 16th Street across from the Cinespace Office Building.) Please come between the hours of 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.

All extras must be at least 18 years old and legal U.S. residents.

The show is looking foe all types and ethnicities but is especially interested in the following:

  • Experienced stand-ins: with a resume and headshot – positions that could work the entire run of show.
  • Model types: tall, leggy and fashionable.
  • Gangster types: large and imposing, if you have tattoos please cover them with your wardrobe.
  • Real medical staff: EMTs, nurses, doctors as well as real cops and military personnel.
  • Twins, red-heads and little people.

also, here are a few more instructions from the show’s casting directors:

  • Wardrobe: Please arrive dressed in your best fashionable upscale event outfit. Of if have a specific uniformed profession or specific type: nurse, EMT, police or gangster, lady-of-the-night, please dress in your uniform/or to your character type. Both men and women, please have your hair and makeup as camera ready as possible.
  • Please know your measurements including your hat and neck, waist, inseam, shoe, jacket, dress size, etc.
  • Proper identification: You MUST bring two forms of valid, legal ID (for example: driver’s license, birth certificate, U.S. passport). School ID badges are not sufficient.
  • If you cannot attend, send three recent pictures, contact number, sizes, age and date of birth to chitownpd@gmail.

 

The show will be booking extras and performers on the spot. Please bring your ID with you and it is always helpful to have a pen. You do not need to bring photos because the shows staff will be taking pictures of you at the call.

    Currently have a bad back so mobility is somewhat limited.
    I am retired so my schedule is pretty much open except for doctor appointments.
    Average looking.
    Can have a bad attitude at a moments notice.
