ReelOddity Productions is now casting for an independent short film in Chicago, titled Bluebird. Actors will receive small stipend as well as credits for participation. Shooting will begin in late August.
Synopsis: A grieving woman finds she lost more than a partner after the sudden death of her husband, discovering for herself what it truly means to rise from ashes.
FEMALE ROLES
Natalie Grant- A newly widowed modern artist. Must be able to play 28-33 years old, all races, athletic build (able to work with heavy machinery) dark haired (or willing to dye), available for welding lesson.
Vee Taylor- Natalie’s best friend and cousin. Has an on again off again romance with Luke. All races and body types. Must be able to play 28-35.
Ella Grant- Steve’s sister. Must be able to play 20-25 years old. All races and body types.
Mary Grant- Steve’s mother. Must be able to play early 50’s to mid 60’s. Caucasian, all body types.
Harriet Westrom- Natalie’s mother. All types.
Aunt Evie: Natalie’s Aunt (Vee’s mother). All types.
MALE ROLES
Stephen (Steve) Grant- Natalie’s late husband. Ex- army test pilot. Must be able to play 28-35 years old, Caucasian, fit, light haired (or willing to dye).
Luke: Steve’s childhood best friend, an army pilot. Must be able to play 30-35. Fit, all races.
*** All speaking roles above must be available for two scheduled rehearsals in August and a photo-shoot. Actors will be paid a stipend at the end of production for their time.
AUDITION STEPS
