Extras Call on Cinemax Series “The Knick” in NYC

Steven Soderbergh’s Cinemax series “The Knick” is now filming in the New York area and has a casting call out for Caucasian men to play pedestrians.

GWC in NY is seeking male extras who are available to work next week in the New York City area on the Cinemax show “The Knick“.  The show is looking for males to play middle class pedestrians. The show is set in the early 1900’s so talent cast must be available for a wardrobe fitting this week. This will be a 3 day shoot, please see below for further details and dates.

The Knick” focuses on The Knickerbocker Hospital in New York City in the early 1900’s. Clive Owen  plays a medical doctor who leads a team of surgeons who are attempting to perfect medical techniques in a time before anti-biotics and when mortality rates at hospitals were very high. Owen’s character, Doctor John Thackery, is a brilliant surgeon who is secretly addicted to drugs yet leads a team of surgeons and pioneers new methods at the hospital. ’The Knick’ is being helmed by Emmy-winning director Steven Soderbergh  and premiered last summer.

Cinemax announced that the show is being renewed for season two which is now filming and will consist of 10 episodes. Season 2 of “The Knick” will premiere in the fourth quarter of 2015.

Works 3/17, 3/18, and 4/13.

Please note: All men must be OK receiving 1900 style haircut and possibly being fit with artificial facial hair. No allergies to wool. Must be OK working around atmospheric smoke.
