There is a “Magnificent Seven” remake on the way and the movie is hiring paid extras in Louisiana.
The new movie is a remake of the 1960 classic western which starred Yul Brynner, Eli Wallach, Steve McQueen, Charles Bronson, Robert Vaughn, Brad Dexter and James Coburn. “The Magnificent Seven” is about to wrap and has been filming around the Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Jackson Louisiana areas this summer.
There is still a chance to get in on the act as a paid background extra before it wraps. There are a few weeks left of filming and the project has released a new extras casting call.
“Magnificent Seven” is looking for locals who have never worked as extras on this project. Central Casting is seeking Caucasian looking men between the ages of 20 and 60 to play townfolk in scenes filming shortly in the Jackson, LA area.
“The Magnificent Seven” is being directed by Antoine Fuqua (Training Day). The director is reuniting some of the “Training Day” stars. Denzel Washington and Ethan Hawke are also on board for the project. “The Magnificent Seven” stars Chris Pratt, Denzel Washington, Ethan Hawke, Vincent D’Onofrio, Haley Bennett and Luke Grimes. According to the IMDB page the film is about seven gun men in the old west gradually come together to help a poor village against savage thieves. “The Magnificent Seven” will be filming in the Baton Rouge area May through August 2015. Fans have a bit of a wait for this one. The movie will be hitting theaters in January 2017.
