Dolly Parton is working on a series of movie projects based on her songs. Her film, “Coat of Many Colors” is in production in the Atlanta area and casting for the roles of 12 year old bullies.

CL Casting in Atlanta is seeking 2 Caucasian boys “AS BIG AND AS SCARY AS BEARS” to work several dates between August and September. Must be local to the Atlanta area in order to be considered. Also, CL Casting is seeking an 8 year old blonde girl.
Dolly Parton is serving as executive producer on “Coat of Many Colors”, a made for TV movie inspired by Parton’s hit song of the same name. According to Deadline the TV movie will air on NBC during their fall 2015/2016 season with the film airing sometime between September 2015 and May 2016. Pamela K. Long (“Second Noah”) is writing the script.
Coat Of Many Colors is one of a few movies that Parton is working on. Dolly Parton has a deal with NBC to develop a few films, all based on her songs. The movies will feature her music but are not musicals. Dolly Parton will also appear in some of her upcoming TV movies.
