New castings & auditions for NBC’s Chicago TV shows.
A new season of NBC’s Chicago shows is currently filming in the Chicagoland area and they are looking to cast folks who would like to work as paid background extras on the show in 2022 / 2023 season.
NBC sister show, Chicago P.D. is also currently filming in the Chicago, Illinois area and the extras casting notices for that show may be found here. Please note that this page has multiple casting notices, so make sure that if you are interested, and submitting, that you are using the dates and info for the call that you are interested in.
“Chicago Med“ is created by Dick Wolf and Matt Olmstead. The show is a spin-off of NBC’s popular drama series “Chicago Fire” (which is also filming right now). “Chicago Med” is described as “an emotional ride through the day-to-day chaos of the city’s most explosive hospital and the courageous team of doctors that holds it together”. In the series premiere, the grand opening of Chicago Med’s emergency department is interrupted by victims of an “L” train crash, pushing the staff to their limits.

We’re beginning to collect general background submissions for episode 803 of Chicago Med. You can send in your information via email (chicagomedbackground@gmail.com)

– AVAILABLE DATES: Please list all available dates between Thursday 8/11 and Tuesday 8/23.
General background rates pay $124/8 + $62 Covid test bump. This casting call is open to everyone ages 18+ (must be graduated from high school).
Chicago PD is a few filming days behind Chicago Med, so we’ll be opening up episode 1003 general submissions in a couple days. We’ll post the Google form link and email submission instructions when we’re closer to the start of filming the episode.
In the meantime, we’re looking for some folks with nicer business/professional attire that can play State’s Attorneys in episode 1002. If you have a nice suit (can be a pant or skirt suit), dress shirt/blouse options and dress shoes, and you’re available to film on Saturday 8/13, please send an email to CPDbackground@gmail.com using the subject line “SUIT SATURDAY”
Please make sure to send all the information listed above, and include photos of yourself in some of your business professional/attorney-type clothing. You may be asked to bring one or two of the outfits to a wardrobe fitting in advance of filming.
COVID TEST: Tuesday 8/9 (any time before 2:30pm) or Wednesday 8/10 (between 6am and 10am)
FITTING: Thursday 8/11
FILMING: Saturday 8/13

I am a 66 year-old male living in Southeast Texas. I have no chance of being cast in your show(s), I just want to offer my congratulations to everyone involved with the Chicago series. Chicago Fire is an extremely effective series, The writing, the acting, the production values, are absolutely amazing. Characters have been created that I CARE about- and that is essential to buying into relationships and storylines.. I am a tough audience, but I am continually knocked off my feet by the quality of this show. I thank you all for the care and passion you bring to the program.
